My Dancing Lion

I’ve exhibited this painting at The Restoration Center in Brooklyn and the African American Cultural Center in San Francisco. I created it several years ago for my son and it sits in his bedroom. He asked me to make a drawing for him and this one I did to show him that he comes from several cultures. This painting helped spark a series of short stories which lead to my first self-published children’s book, Furqan’s First Flat Top; which I wrote and illustrated.
