Really just wanted to make the statement, hard to get my Thoughts together this AM. But I imagine The US govt as the biggest thug on earth w/700+ military bases across the fucking planet. Problem is, The Romans fell, the British has had to give up territories and colonies. The US empire will fall too. For us reg working people to eat, be healthy, happy, for the funk to end-capitalism and empires have to die. What else on my mind? Palestine, Congo, Haiti, Central America, Puerto Rico, Guam, NewZealand, Sudan, New Caledonia, Brics alliance, G7 countries, voting locally & 4 ur state, voting strategically but keeping in mind that organizing and solidarity w/poor and working class people across the planet. #artofrobertliutrujillo #downwithimperialsm #handstyles the only thing the US elites care about is “paper” and power. They don’t care about religion, justice, none of that.

Free the Congo

Ok here’s the short version of my description:

A quick drawing/painting of a delivery truck with graffiti on it saying “Free the Congo” and “Down with Colonialism”. I painted this in solidarity with the people of the Congo in central Africa who are suffering from the direct effects of colonialism. The news will say its about corrupt leaders, I say look into the history of Belgium and France, their past and current colonial ties. Look into the countless companies in Europe and the US who profit from its vast mineral wealth (Coltan, Cobalt, etc). Who benefits from the millions who have been killed and displaced there? How is this related to other countries in Africa, Colombia, Palestine, the Philippines, India? The obscenely wealthy 1 % dont get there through “hard work”. They get there by using murder, rape, theft, sabotage, assasination, bribery, misinformation, and misdirection. To stand in solidarity with the Congo, please follow the Center for Research on the Congo-Kinshasa and independent news outlets to hear more about what is happening there and what activists there are calling on us to do. Comment w/ a journalist, book, podcast, artist, or news outlet that is accurately reporting about Congo.

Defend Puerto Rico

So the US response to PR has been weak, disappointing, faulty, irresponsible, and down right hateful. It is not just the current idiot in office. There are other presidents since the colonization of the island (yes Obama too) who have contributed to a financial stranglehold on Puerto Rico. But check it out, you can help by calling your congress member and letting them know how you feel. Please follow DEFEND PUERTO RICO.
