More of the process
I’ve had some obstacles I’ve gone through or around in the journey to publishing my first Children’s Book recently. Mostly I sent out a lot of work, got some responses and offers back, some rejections too. Also i joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Through there I was able to meet some folks in the biz. The more I try, the more clues I pick up. Thought you’d appreciate seeing a page that i sent out…This is a scene from my book..It’s about the journey to a healthy food practice! The journey of publishing is full of struggle, but we as creatives must never give up.Ever.

i love this concept…i don't have children, but this could make an interesting book.
Thanks! Its definitely a story that hasn't been told yet. Or at least i haven't seen a book like it on the shelves. Father+son, People of Color, healthy eating…..etc
maybe you can add something about the problems of the lack of healthy foods in the hood. i forgot what it's called…a "food desert"…well i say it's a damn good concept and it will be something fresh and original.
This story will be focusing more on an "action". But you are right, that is a super good idea! I hope to work w/ some organizations who are combating that like the CSA.
