I buried my grandma last weekend. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family, bro.

My grandma was a matriarch in every sense. The only grandparent a lot of us ever knew.
Lots of family came from all over… I have tons of family in SoCal and the bay, as well as some in Canada (one cousin in the navy flew in from Japan).
Definitely felt the difference. Probably the first time a lot of my family recognized me as a grown man…
Wow, I heard that! My grandma was too. My grandpa and her were like a unit/pair/piece..it was hard seeing them apart when she passed in 06.She didnt want a funeral of any sort though. My grandpa was the opposite, wanted a US Marines salute!
My Dad didn't want a funeral either.
